For the production of my end of year exhibition I have been frequently considering varying printing factors including paper types, sizes and framing. I plan to summarise my currently developing project with a single A1 framed print and a photobook, which functions as a portfolio documenting the remaining series of images taken as a part of this project.

I chose to print at a scale of A1 as I felt this suited the wide architectural shots I had produced. The decision to frame this print stemmed from this being the only large scale print within the exhibition showcase. Furthermore, I looked into purchasing non-reflective glass for this framed image to avoid the photograph from becoming difficult to interpret due to reflections on the glass.

During the production of this print, I experimented with several paper types available through the wide-format inkjet printer. I printed 3 test strips; Matte 180gsm, SemiGloss 260gsm and 315g Hahnemuhle Photorag. I determined Matte was the best option for printing, basing it off of factors such as print quality as well as cost effectiveness.
